Kids’ Gold Coin Shorts

Cut from a 100% nylon peach skin textile, the Kids’ Gold Coin Shorts feature an elasticated waistband, able to be tightened to your kiddies’ comfort with the addition of a drawstring. The all-over-print artwork is our Gold Coin graphic, which was made in commemoration of our flagship store Duck Duck Goose’s first ever tour to Johannesburg in 2023. The graphic, illustrated by Shaun Hill, features an image of a duck traversing the country from Cape Town to the City of Gold on a springbok, placed between the year 2023, the name of our store, and the name of our destination. Funnily enough, 2023 was also the year that the Springboks lifted the Rugby World Cup. We’re not going to say that we predicted it, but this graphic lays a pretty strong case that we did. Since our travels, the graphic has come to symbolise greater South African pride, especially with reference to two of our country’s most culturally rich cities.
Each pair of shorts is made in our 28-year-old heritage manufacturing facility in Woodstock, Cape Town.
