The Heavy T-Shirt was named after its heavy and bulky look, and the fact that it just looks like the T-shirt that your neighbourhood’s local heavies would wear. Its wider and more cropped body, dropped shoulders, and broader, longer sleeves give it an imposing presence. The introduction of the Heavy Tee to our T-shirt line-up coincided with the global rise of oversized T-shirts in recent years, and while our take on the trend is definitely big and weighty, its size and silhouette do not make it a comical fashion statement. The tee can be worn true to size for an oversized look, but it can also be worn one or two sizes down for a more traditional, yet boxier fit. The 100% cotton textile used to make this T-shirt is sourced in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia, spun into yarn in Pietermaritzburg, woven into fabric in Atlantis, Cape Town, and eventually cut, made and sewn in our factory in Woodstock, Cape Town. We pride ourselves in having a fully localised supply chain that is sustainable for domestic economies and reduces our carbon footprint, rather than using textiles with more air miles to their name.
